Emergency Care

We provide safe, emergency care for children and young people experiencing trauma or abuse.

Providing safe spaces for our community during times of need.

Big Brown House can provide emergency or time limited care to children and young people under Individual Placement Agreements and Short Term Emergency Care (STEP).

As an accredited agency with the Office of Children’s Guardian (OCG), Big Brown House works under a therapeutic care model. The practice principles of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) are incorporated within all areas of the support that we provide.

Our teams are highly trained and receive internal and external training opportunities to enhance their knowledge of the ever-changing needs of our community.
